#SBWAgencyLife in April 2024

The new Workplace Recycling law started in Wales!

There is no time to waste!  It is now law for all Welsh businesses, charities, and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling. After months of delivering this national awareness campaign, it was very rewarding to see the law coming to force from 6th April. Not only have we met our target of making 80% of businesses aware of the change, but it also feels so good to support this important step towards reaching zero waste, reducing our carbon emissions, and tackling the climate emergency. A big thank you to our client Welsh Government and our partners Storm+Shelter, WRAP Cymru and Biffa who worked with us in the development and production of this campaign.

Not one, but TWO Purpose Awards nominations!

We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for this year’s Purpose Awards, for not one but two awards! Hate Hurts Wales – Stand Up to Hate Crime was shortlisted for Best Equality & Inclusion Cause campaign, while Workplaces of Wales – Let’s get it sorted was shortlisted for the Best Environmental Cause campaign.  Thank you and a massive congrats to all our amazing team of SBW’ers, as well as our clients and partners who worked so hard to develop, plan and deliver these fantastic, for The Good Stuff campaigns. Fingers crossed for the winner announcements on June 7th 🤞

Targeted regionally, we are reaching parents in their communities with a targeted media channels and on-the-ground stakeholder engagement, getting them the help available, from childcare solutions to financial aid and educational support.

Looking ahead at the future of Business Wales

Over the past year, our team has been working with Business Wales to revamp their brand and raise awareness of their support services. This month, we led a workshop with the Business Wales team, reviewing insights and discussing the plan for the new year as we gear up for the next phase of our campaign. Stay tuned for updates!

Showcasing Llani Library of Things

We were back on location this month, overseeing the filming of our latest case study for the Climate Action Wales campaign. Making useful equipment and tools available for hire, Llani Library of Things is a fantastic example of local initiatives helping communities to reduce their consumption by reducing and reusing!

Inspired by the girl who climbed Everest

Our MD and Creative Director, Leticia and Cerys, had the honour of attending an evening with Bonita Norris, the youngest person to conquer Mount Everest in 2010 at just 22 years old! Bonita shared her journey of overcoming physical and mental barriers, emphasising the power of ‘success by smallness’ to reach big accomplishments. Her inspiring words have fuelled our aspirations as an agency, motivating us for the journey ahead.
