A Summer of Success

Our annual summer BBQ returns  

The last few months have been very busy here at SBW and we are so excited to share what we have been up to. We’ve been working on over 10 integrated, pan-Wales public awareness campaigns, launching 3 new TV commercials, and doing more amazing work for our 7 NHS Trusts. We won a highly prestigious Drum Roses Award and got our first Purpose Awards’ nomination, we’ve worked with new clients and welcome some fantastic SBW’ers to the team. We’ve also all been able to spend some time together as a team at our infamous Summer Party!

In June, we got the chance to have our first agency party this year which meant our Bristol and Cardiff teams were able to have a catch up in person. It was a lovely opportunity to let our hair down and enjoy a great BBQ, summer cocktails… and a very cool quiz (thanks so much to Ian, our Quiz Master!)

The Drum Awards 2022 Win 

We are delighted to have won a bronze award at the Drum Awards 2022 for our Sound of Change campaign, which raised awareness and informed the public in Wales the change of law making any physical punishment of children illegal. Find more about our award-winning campaign. 

Hate Hurts Wales campaign Purpose Awards nomination 

Our Hate Hurts Wales campaign was nominated for the ‘Best Equality & Inclusion Cause Campaign’ category of the Purpose Awards this year. Although we travelled to London to attend the awards ceremony at the iconic Bafta Piccadilly and didn’t take the trophy back to Wales this time, we felt truly honoured to be amongst global agencies and many great organisations, charities and brands making huge positive impact in the UK and beyond (including IKEA, Dove, Electronic Arts, Diabetes UK and Disasters Emergency Committee). Welcome to our new SBW’ers – Georgias, Georgina, Ellie & Sara 

We’re excited to introduce our newest members of the team, Jnr Account Exec Georgina, Digital and Social Media Executive Georgia M in Cardiff, Jnr Account Exec Georgia MB in Bristol, Account Manager Ellie in Cardiff and Senior Designer Sara in Bristol… needless to say we have a Georgia situation?!  

Finally we end with some more exciting news, we have just secured a big ‘good stuff’ win for the agency. So it will be all hands on deck in the coming months, and the team are really looking forward to getting stuck in!
