Sunny, rainy and busy Summer – the August recap

We welcomed a new SBW’er, ran several exciting shoots prepping for multiple campaigns and crowned our Sweepstake Champion… here is our recap for August 2023!

SBW’s FIFA Women’s Cup Sweepstake

August saw the start of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and to get into the sporting spirit we held our very own SBW Sweepstake! In the end, Ida’s England came up against Angharad’s Spain in the final, with Spain pipping them to the post, making Angharad our SBW Sweepstake Champion! Congratulations Angharad! Da iawn!

Roll camera – Workplace Recycling

Work for our Workplace Recycling public awareness campaign for the Welsh Government has been picking up pace in the last few weeks. The TV ad was shot in three days on three separate locations – check out some BTS from the filming.

We’re scheduled to be hitting the screens early October, so keep your eyes peeled!

New SBW’er alert!

Jordan has joined our Cardiff team as our brand-new Social Media Content Manager! He has already started settling in, getting up to speed with agency life and developing content for our clients’ campaigns.

We asked Jordan for his thoughts on his first month here at SBW, and this is what he had to say…

Filming more glorious filming

And we had another busy month with film production! From Caerphilly to Swansea and Barry, we’ve been out there and recording.

Our Account Manager Georgia took a trip down to Caerphilly to oversee the filming of one of our Climate Action Wales case study films. She met up with ToyBox Project who take unwanted new and used toys and re-home them, keeping toys out of landfill and gifting them to those in need. Our Creative Director Cerys headed off to Swansea Bay for a busy shoot at the Health Board’s hospitals and also captured some beautiful local outdoor spots for their recruitment film. And our Senior Account Director Ida supported another Climate Action Wales case study shoot, this time at the beautiful and very sunny Barry beach front. She met up with Sustrans who are piloting ‘E-Move,’ an electric cycle loan scheme, helping people who may find the cost of e-bikes a barrier to using them. E-move offers a healthy, sustainable and affordable way to travel.
