#SBWAgency Life in March 2025

Celebrating 3 years of Protecting Children’s Rights

This month marks three years since Wales joined more than 60 nations around the world by making physical punishment of children illegal. We’re proud to have played a part in this by delivering the Ending Physical Punishment national campaign raising awareness of this change, and by continuing to provide support and positive parenting guidance and tips to parents in Wales through the Teulu Cymru ongoing campaign.

Woodland Volunteering with “One Tree Per Child”

Tom rolled up his sleeves and joined the brilliant One Tree Per Child team, a Bristol City Council initiative. He lent a hand in woodland management, helping to prune and fell infant wild cherry, hazel and oak trees. Their mission is to give stronger trees more access to light and nutrients, creating the right conditions for this young woodland to thrive. At SBW we genuinely care about making a positive impact and providing time for our team to help do their bit for the planet is our small way of making sure they can do just this.

Womentoring with Cardiff University

Our Managing Director, Leticia proudly took part in Womentoring 2025, an inspiring programme from Cardiff University that connects female graduates with experienced mentors. She joined 25 other alumnae to offer insight and support women ready to develop their careers.

Flying the Flag for Cardiff Alumni

Speaking of Cardiff University alumni, Leticia also headed to the House of Lords for a night of celebration and exciting future opportunities. Surrounded by inspiring graduates doing incredible things across the world, it was a brilliant evening of networking and reflection on achievements.

Behind the lens at Gloucester Royal Hospital

Rob, our Associate Creative Director, travelled to Gloucester Royal Hospital for a photoshoot with Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a recruitment campaign. Featuring real people, the photoshoot shines a light on the incredible healthcare workers across the trust.

Gearing Up for a Year of Getting Recycling Sorted!

This 6th April will be one year since it became the law for all businesses, charities and public sector organisations to sort their waste in Wales – and also the 1-year anniversary of our ‘Workplaces of Wales. Let’s get it sorted’ campaign to promote this change. We’ve busy planning the ‘Workplaces of Wales. Let’s keep sorting’ follow up campaign to celebrate this milestone, featuring businesses across Wales who got their workplace recycling sorted, and were proud of it! The campaign will be activated on out of home (billboards), digital, social and radio, so keep an eye out for it!

Mastering briefing with University of South Wales

Richard, our Head of Client Services, returned to University of South Wales to speak with second-year advertising students to explain what it takes to bring a campaign brief to life. From planning and budgeting to creative collaboration, his talk has hopefully inspired them all with their end of year projects. It was also a great chance to reconnect with some familiar faces from last year’s sessions and see how their journeys are going.

Welcome Kate and Nicole!

We welcome not one, but two new SBW’ers this month. Kate Martin joined the Bristol studio as Junior Designer, with a background in print design and layout. Across in Cardiff, Nicole Jay has joined the team as Social Media Account Manager, bringing her experience of social strategy to deliver content that delivers for our clients.
