Springing into Spring

We welcome the much-waited beginning of Spring, with the start of some new, exciting projects while we deliver and activate various ongoing campaigns during one of the busiest periods of the year for SBW.

Celebrating the 1st anniversary of Ending Physical Punishment in Wales

21st March 2023 marked one year since the physical punishment of children was made illegal in Wales. To celebrate this landmark anniversary, we developed a lovely film featuring real parents and their babies born within the last year, to a new and progressive Wales where children’s rights are further protected. The film was promoted though a digital and social campaign.

Plenty of ‘lights, camera and action!’

Our team and film production partners were busy with many shoots this month.

We spent a couple of days in London filming a recruitment campaign advert for Barts NHS Trust which featured different roles within their Emergency Department. We also went to Swansea Bay for a photography shoot to capture working life at Swansea Bay University Health Board while we continued to shoot case study films for Climate Action Wales, which showcase the great examples of greener practice and actions across Wales. The films and campaigns will be out soon, so watch this space.

University of South Wales’s talks

Our Head of Client Services, Richard, and Account Director, George, talked to USW’s Advertising Design Year 1 students about account management as part of their Ad Industry Module. They covered how we plan and deliver all ‘for the good stuff’ work we do, including campaign strategy and planning, creative development, implementation and evaluation. We are very proud to be a USW partner, sharing our expertise and knowledge to help develop the new generation who will soon be working in the industry!

New business alert… Ecosystem Invaders campaign

We are so pleased that we will be continuing to work on the ‘Ecosystem Invaders’ campaign with North Wales Wildlife Trust! This means we will carry on raising awareness of invasive, non-native species in Wales and how we can tackle them. Invasive species, including plants and animals introduced by humans where they wouldn’t naturally be found, can out-compete and threaten Wales’ biodiversity. We can all help stop the spread of invasive species – and our campaign is all about encouraging the public and key stakeholders to take action. You can find out more about the campaign by visiting www.northwaleswildlifetrust.org.uk/ecosystem-invaders
