About Us

Across our teaching hospitals in Southmead and Frenchay and our local community work through school nurses, health visitors and therapists, we deliver exceptional healthcare which is welcoming, open and honest. We are also a specialist regional centre for neurosciences, plastics and burns, orthopaedics and renal services. We’re proud to be the largest teaching hospital trust in the South West with links to the University of Bristol, University of Bath and the University of the West of England and a reputation for offering our staff the best learning and research opportunities – we currently have around 500 staff involved in 400 separate projects. These initiatives not only benefit the people working in our Trust, but also enhance the care and services we offer our patients.
