A Very Merry SBW Christmas

With plenty of #ForTheGoodStuff campaigns and projects, a few more fab SBW’ers and new great clients, we have had plenty to celebrate recently. We end the year with a bang, grateful for our amazing team, clients and partners, with who we worked hard with to make a good, positive impact.

Climate Action Wales

Our Climate Action Wales campaign kicked-off during COP27 and Wales Climate Week, answering the big question ‘What is Wales doing about Climate Change?’ Activated through PR, out of home and digital, the campaign featured films and content showcasing Welsh Government funded projects and community initiatives that are reducing carbon emissions and moving us towards net zero targets. This phase 1 is only the beginning of a long-term behavioural change campaign that we are so excited to be working on with the Welsh Government! Watch one of the videos to find out more about what Wales is doing about climate change.

New animated films for Talk With Me

We were busy creating new animated films for the Talk with Me campaign, featuring helpful tips aimed at parents of children aged 0-5, expectant parents, and grandparents. Check them out!

World Children's Day

We celebrated a very special World Children’s Day! This year’s theme was ‘A better future for every child’, and the change in law making physical punishment illegal in Wales implemented earlier in March 2022, making our celebration of children and their rights even more meaningful this year. We created an Ending Physical Punishment animation that was shared with Welsh Government partners and stakeholders to celebrate this special milestone for children’s rights across their networks.

National Trust

We were back working with the National Trust, this time to recruit for an Assistant Director role. Our brief was to create a video that would get the attention of potential candidates and help drive applications. The film, which reflects the National Trust’s values, and the impact they make ‘for everyone, forever…’, featuring unique sites and landscapes in the North West region, which this role will cover.

Renting Homes Act

On 1st December the Renting Homes Act came into force in Wales, following our ongoing campaign ‘The way you rent is changing’ for the Welsh Government which raised awareness of the changes to both landlords and tenants – it was great to see the new Act going live to help ensure a safe home for all in Wales.

Royal Voluntary Service Photoshoot

We were also in Oxfordshire for a photoshoot with the Royal Voluntary Service, capturing the brilliant work the volunteers do, to be featured across their ongoing marketing campaigns. It was so inspiring to see the amazing work that happens behind the scenes at the RVS, while supporting those in their local community.

St Monica Trust

Our recruitment campaign for St Monica Trust to attract care workers also went live this month. The campaign creative ‘In people we trust’, focused on celebrating and highlighting the trust they have had in their people over the past 100 years, and how valuing their staff meant the best care to their residents.

Our Bristol Office Extension!

We were so excited to officially open our Bristol office extension in November! To mark the occasion, we hosted our Autumn All Agency Catch Up in our shiny, brand-new boardroom, when we had the opportunity to celebrate our successes in the last six months and talk about the plans for Q4 and beyond (while enjoying a glass of champagne and a fabulous spread, of course!).

Welcome to our new SBW'ers!

We have had three new SBW’ers join us, Katie who joined our Bristol team as our Junior Account Executive, Kelly who joined our Cardiff office as a Junior Account Manager and Chloe who will be our Insight Strategist over in Bristol.

SBW Christmas Party 2022

Last week saw our much- awaited Christmas party, where we all met in the Bristol office before going to Spiegeltent and enjoyed an all team catch up as well as exchanging our Secret (sustainable!) Santa gifts…. We also had our very own Santa!

And finally, this year we will be donating again to charity instead of sending cards – we’re proud to to have donated £500 split between Save the Children and The British Red Cross, to help children and families across the world, who need aid more than ever at this time.

We all at SBW wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2023 when we can work together more #ForTheGood stuff and make a positive impact whenever we can.
