A Joyful June

Welcoming a work experience, catching up with our clients, more film shooting for our campaigns, and our 2nd month of monthly socials, it’s been a June full of joy here at the agency.

From hospitals to bikes – shooting for the good stuff

Our team travelled to London to shoot for a recruitment campaign with Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Our aim was to portray all hospital staff from Admin Assistants to Doctors as the hero’s that they are! We can’t wait to see how the results of this shoot and the impact it will make to the wider campaign.

We also headed to Aberystwyth to film some case studies for the Climate Action Wales campaign, showcasing all the inspiring stories of business, organisations and communities going greener, lowering their carbon emissions. We had the opportunity to meet with Sustrans, delving into their e-bike initiative and exploring its influence within the local community! We will be filming many more green success stories for this campaign, in and around Wales, so watch this space!

SBW x Collect My Clothes Wales

We’re proud to have run our first clothing collection with Collect My Clothes Wales, a brilliant charity dedicated to ethical recycling and reusing of clothing. They partner with numerous charities and our chosen charity was Shelter Cymru (who we have been working with). As a result, our Cardiff team had a great time clearing out their summer wardrobes, simultaneously providing much-needed assistance to those who need it the most, while also positively contributing to environmental conservation. We totally recommend btw!

Meeting our client from the Bahamas in London!

Our Managing Director, Leticia and our Owner, Simon, were in London earlier this month to meet Melanie, Bahamas First General Insurance’s Group Marketing and Comms Manager. It was lovely to finally meet her in person!

Work experience in our Bristol office

We had the privilege of welcoming Ethan from St Laurence School in Bradford-on-Avon for his week’s work experience. A natural when it comes to graphics, Ethan spent time with our creative team, learning new skills and industry insights that will no doubt help him when entering the world of work. We asked Ethan some quickfire questions about his time here and here’s what he had to say!

Trying out Tiger Yard

It’s our second month of agency funded monthly socials, and our Cardiff team decided to try the newly opened Tiger Yard in Cardiff Bay, which is only a few mins from our office. The team enjoyed some well-deserved food and drinks, which included a rare appearance from the Welsh sun! So, if you are thinking about trying it out too, here is our team’s verdict, with some SBW’er feedback:

Overall, we really enjoyed our first visit to Tiger Yard, it’s brilliant to see more places popping up and making Cardiff Bay even better than it already is! If a few drinks in the sun, with some of the best street food in Cardiff is what you’re looking for, it’s safe to say Tiger Yard is the place for you!
