Putting an end to single-use vapes

The ban on single use vapes is now in force across Wales, and we’re proud to have played our part with the comms on another step towards a greener nation. Building on the success of our single-use plastics ban and Workplace Recycling campaigns, this campaign is about raising awareness on the environmental damage, as well as fire risks posed by single use vapes, while informing and supporting businesses to get ready for upcoming changes.

Scoring sustainable goals with Cambrian Football Club

We’ve been hard at work coordinating, directing, and producing video shoots for Climate Action Wales, with our latest project highlighting the inspiring success story of Cambrian Football Club. Located in the heart of the Valleys, this remarkable club is taking grassroots action in the fight against climate change. Their sustainable game is on point – their café runs on hydro power from a local lake, they’ve opened a zero-waste, plastic-free gift shop, installed photovoltaic panels, and added EV charging points. Not only that, they’re setting a new standard for sustainability in football across the country. But their impact goes beyond the pitch. Through community gardens, carpentry workshops, and walking groups, the club is creating new opportunities for residents to connect with nature – and with each other. Great work team!

Filming on location for Help Us Help You

We have been back behind the camera, this time filming a TVC for our Help Us Help You campaign, raising awareness of the common ailments service available at pharmacies. A big thank you to our production partners over at On Par, we can’t wait to share the final edit with you in the next few weeks!

Advertising Archives at University of South Wales

We had the privilege of attending this year’s Advertising Archives, the 2025 graduate show from the University of South Wales’ Advertising course. It was great to be able to meet some of the next faces of advertising and receive a walk through their brilliant final year portfolios.

Baby steps into the world of advertising

Our Cardiff office was graced with a visit from the gorgeous baby Freja and of course our lovely Ida. Like mother like daughter, Freja showed her team spirit by taking her first steps into the world of campaign optimisation, with a quick run through of Google Analytics from Chris, our Paid Digital Manager! Nap time might have pulled her away from the desk, but not before the team received lots of cuddles from the bundle of joy!

SBW Running Club

Here at the agency, we’re always exploring new ways to put wellbeing front and centre. That’s why we’ve kicked off, quite literally, our lunchtime SBW Run Club! It’s been a fantastic way to keep bodies moving and energy levels high, while enjoying a bit of May sunshine! Here is Leticia and Richard testing some routes in Bristol.

A taste of agency life

We were delighted to welcome Harriet Ulett from Cardiff University, who joined us as an intern to gain first-hand experience of life inside an advertising agency. We loved having Harriet as part of the team, here’s what she had to say about her time with us…

“My time at SBW Advertising gave me a valuable insight into agency life. From media planning and competitor analysis to understanding finance trackers and how creative briefs are transformed into impactful results. A highlight for me was being part of a collaborative team, where I had the opportunity to learn from others with different strengths and perspectives.”
